I just got the following message from Frederick City…..
You don’t have to feed the parking meters on Saturday in Frederick in the month of December! Come visit us and park free on Saturday.

If you see the current Mayor and Board of Aldermen (Holtzinger, Hall, Imhoff, Koontz, Kuzemchak & Smith) or Steve Johnson with the City’s Parking Department, please pass along your thanks. Last Thursday, the Mayor and Board of Aldermen voted to extend the free holiday parking hours in Downtown Frederick. The request for the change in the free holiday parking was submitted jointly by the City’s Parking Department and the Partnership. As a result, customers will no longer need to pay a dollar if they leave the garage after 6PM in the evening.

For the Frosty Friday weekend, parking (garage and street) will be free beginning on Thanksgiving Day and will continue through Monday, November 30 at 6AM.

For the remaining holiday weekends, parking (garage and street) will be free all day Saturday and Sunday with charges beginning at 6AM on Mondays.
